A clear, step-by-step presentation for setting up your Trezor hardware wallet safely and correctly.
This presentation explains how to initialize and secure your Trezor hardware wallet using the official setup flow at Trezor.io/start. It covers preparing for setup, installing firmware and Trezor Suite, creating a secure backup (recovery seed / wallet backup), setting a PIN, and essential safety tips.

If packaging looks tampered with or the device shows unexpected screens during initial boot, stop and contact official support. Physical device integrity matters.
Open your browser and go to https://trezor.io/start. The site will guide you to download Trezor Suite (desktop/web) or Bridge if required by your device.
New Trezor devices are usually shipped without firmware. Install the latest firmware from the official flow when prompted.
Choose “Create new wallet” to generate a fresh wallet and backup (recommended if you do not already have a recovery). If you already have a seed, choose “Recover wallet.”
During wallet creation the device shows a sequence of recovery words. Write them down on the supplied backup cards — never store digitally (no photo, no cloud).
Add a PIN on the device to protect it from unauthorized physical use. Memorize or store the PIN securely — it cannot be recovered by Trezor.
Confirm the backup and PIN on the device when instructed. When the flow completes, your wallet is ready to receive coins.
Use Trezor Suite (desktop / web app) as the main interface to send/receive and manage cryptocurrencies. It integrates firmware updates, device checks, and coin management.
Recovery words must only be written by hand. Do not enter them into websites, apps, or cloud services.
If you must recover your wallet, prefer doing it on an offline, trusted system and never via unknown third-party tools.
